Personal Experience with Twitter-Blog 4

On this blog I would like to share my experience about Twitter, before taking this class the only accounts I was sign up for were emails and Facebook.  I never felt the need to sign up for other accounts like Twitter or a blog. The only comments I would hear about Twitter was about people posting their thoughts throughout the day. Since the start of this class, I learned that Twitter is also a great way to stay up to date on current issues around the world. It can also connect me with people who share the same interest.

From now on I will be using Twitter as a source of learning from others students. I will also be posting information that may add value to those who follow me on Twitter.  I think this account will not only benefit me during this course but also in my professional career goals. I think having the access to connect with anyone in the world will help increase my knowledge by learning from other ideas. I think this is going to be important, especially when it come from different cultures.  Although I still struggle with all this new technology, I know I can make good use of these tools.

  1. I can relate with your Blog posting, I myself have only used Facebook, and emails. I personally only looked at Twitter as a public form to rant and rave about issues that arise thought out your day. I have never looked at Twitter as a source to teach and learn from others. I’m still confused with how Twitter works but I hope after next week will have a better understanding of what Twitter is. What things did you learn to keep you up to date on the world news through Twitter? Any tips will help me out.

  2. Twitter does have much to offer and can be confusing. One of the first steps I would suggest would be to find people - through their blogs or by searching in twitter and following them. Hashtags are key in twitter and help filter the information. I will sometimes search for #edtech to see what people are saying about educational technology. I look forward to hearing more about your experiences with Twitter.
